Colliers International Indonesia: Several Industrial Estates Anticipate Price Increase

Property consultant Colliers International Indonesia projects that the development of industrial areas will still focus on the island of Java due to several factors.
Among these are better infrastructure, availability of skilled workers, and port support. The eastern regions outside Jakarta to East Java have very positive potential, namely Cikarang, Karawang, Purwakarta, Subang, Central Java covering Kendal and Semarang, and Surabaya covering Ngoro, Sidoarjo, Lamongan, Pasuruan and Gresik. "There will be many locations and industrial areas with data centers being developed in the coming year. Tenants also have many options in this area," said Senior Associate Director of Colliers International Indonesia Ferry Salanto, Wednesday (19/1). Furthermore, the Colliers International Indonesia report explains that the absorption of industrial land in 2021 will increase from 2020, which will reach the range of 200 hectares. As for land prices, some areas dared to set higher prices, which was triggered by the rising level of sales. Several industrial estates are said to anticipate price increases of up to 10 percent this year. But for the most part, according to Colliers, most industrial estates will still maintain their old prices this year.
