Edy Mulyadi Apologizes For Calling Kalimantan Where Jin Throws Children, Alludes to Monas and BSD

Edy Mulyadi has become a person who has been widely discussed since the past week for his remarks which are considered insulting to Kalimantan regarding the transfer of the State Capital (IKN).

Through the Bang Edy Channel Youtube channel, Edy apologized for his remarks that offended the people of Kalimantan for likening the land to a place for 'genies to dispose of children. He clarified his statement which angered many indigenous people in Kalimantan. Edy straightened out that the term 'jinn disposes of children' was to describe a place far from the center of the crowd. "Never mind Kalimantan, in the past Monas was called a place for 'jinn throw away children'. The intent is to describe a faraway place," said Edi through the Bang Edy Channel Youtube account, Monday (24/1/2022). He also likens other places that are very far away, such as the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) area. "For example, BSD (Bumi Serpong Damai). It was in the era of the 1980s-1990s, including the place where Jin threw away children. However, if friends in Kalimantan feel disturbed, I apologize," he said. Edy again emphasized that the words where the genie dumped the child were not meant to be insulting.
