The goal is to get the private sector involved. SOE Minister Erick Thohir said his party had combined all state port companies into one holding, namely Pelindo. According to him, this merger is expected to strengthen the national port industry. Then reduce logistics costs to improve maritime connectivity throughout the world, so as to be able to face the challenges of global market dynamics and be able to compete at the international level. Erick Thohir explained that this integration was carried out to be in line with the national strategic direction in achieving Indonesia's 2045 vision, namely developing human resources and infrastructure development.
