PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources & Technology Tbk (SMAR) Assesses The Lowering of Export Duty Tariffs for Palm Kernel Shells Does Not Have Much Effect

PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources & Technology Tbk (SMAR) or known as SMART said that the impact of reducing the export duty on palm kernel shells would not have much impact on the company.

Pinta S. Chandra, Investor Relations, Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food said palm kernel is not the main product of the Company. "The impact on the Company's total export sales is not too significant because this palm kernel shell is a by-product, not the main product," he said. For information, the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani changed the export duty rate for palm kernel shells. The changes are contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance (PMK) Number 1/PMK.010/22 concerning the Third Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 13/PMK.010/2017 concerning Stipulation of Exported Goods Subject to Export Duties and Export Duty Tariffs.
